Why does it matter that the Ultimate Reset Cleanse results were published in a Peer-Reviewed Journal?

Any company can create a product or a protocol and call it a Cleanse or a Detox Cleanse.   But how do you know if it works?

One way is to study the results using rigorous science.   That is exactly what Beachbody did before introducing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse.  And now, the results of the studies have been published in a peer-reviewed journal.

In the world of science and research, peer-reviewed means that the study was scrutinized by others who are experts in the field before the work is allowed to be published in the journal. Therefore, being published in a peer-reviewed journal is like having a stamp that the study is valid and not an advertisement.

Can you lose weight doing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse*?

The quick answer is YES, the study participants lost weight during the Ultimate Reset Cleanse (and so did we when we did it).

The longer answer, including the data to support this statement…

Summary
The 21-day Ultimate Reset Cleanse is about wellness, not specifically weight-loss.  That being said healthy weight loss can be a side-effect of fueling the body well.  The study results show that participants lost both pounds and inches doing the cleanse.  Study participants lost an average of 8.87 pounds.  And from our own personal experience, we lost weight too.

What did the Journal say about the Ultimate Reset Cleanse and weight loss?
The Ultimate Reset 21 day Cleanse resulted in “meaningful reductions in weight (-8.87 +/- 5.54 lb)”

Here are the “Anthropometric measurements”  (In case you are wondering what anthropometric measurements are, it’s a medical/science term for a specific way of measuring body composition)

As you will see from the chart, in addition to losing pounds, the study participants also lost inches  (specifically, they lost inches from their waist and hips).  The study measured waist, hips, and the waist-hip ratio.   Here is the data  (you can click on the chart to see more details):

Can men increase testosterone doing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse*?

The quick answer is that the testosterone levels increased for the men in the study and remained the same for the women in the study.

The longer answer, including the data to support this statement…

Summary
The pre and post Ultimate Reset testosterone results were different for the men and the women in the study.  I personally find that to be cool and indicative that our human vehicles know what to do when we give them the fuel they need.

The male study participants increased their mean level of testosterone between their pre-Reset tests and their post-Reset tests.   What that means is that the average testosterone level went up.  You’ll also see in the chart that there are numbers that say +/-.  What that means is that not everyone had the same experience with their results, it means that individual results may vary.

And, for our female readers, the data shows that we women (although we all do need some testosterone in our bodies for optimal health) maintained our testosterone levels.  The mean testosterone level in women did not change during the 21-day Cleanse.

What did the Journal say about the Ultimate Reset Cleanse and testosterone?

The Ultimate Reset 21 day Cleanse resulted in “increase in testosterone for men (111.0 +/- 121.13 ng/dl, P<.05)”  .

As you will see in this chart with the testosterone data, women had a mean value of 32.5 both before and after doing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse.  And men had a mean value of 400.8 before the Reset and 511.8 after doing the Reset.

Can you lower cholesterol doing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse*?

The quick answer is yes, the results of the study participants was both lower both total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL).

The longer answer, including the data to support this statement…

Summary
One of my personal favorite post-reset stories was from my Mom.  When her doctor’s office called with her post-Reset cholesterol results, they said, “whatever you are doing, keep doing it!”.

My Mom’s experience is in line with the official study results.  As you’ll see in the chart below, the study participants experienced lower total cholesterol and lower LDL cholesterol (LDL cholesterol is often informally called bad cholesterol).  To read more about our results from doing the Ultimate Reset Cleanse, you can check out:   Our results from doing the 21-day Ultimate Reset Cleanse  (also known as:  would you trade a glass of wine for 21 days to lower your cholesterol).

What did the Journal say about the Ultimate Reset Cleanse and lowering cholesterol?

The Ultimate Reset 21 day Cleanse resulted in “clinically meaningful reductions in total cholesterol (-30.0 +/- 29.77 mg/dL) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (-21.0 +/-25.20 mg/dL) (P<.05)
